Elle Bienvenu, MS, OTR/L she/her
Elle Bienvenu is an occupational therapist with a focus on pelvic wellness hailing from upstate NY. She holds a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Sage Graduate School of Health Sciences, and a Bachelor of Arts in Therapeutic Creative Arts from Russell Sage College.
She welcomes folks of all gender identities and expressions, all abilities, and at any stage of life to join her in holistic and comprehensive client-driven care. She is dedicated to empowering her clients to find relief from unsavory symptoms of conditions such as bowel and urinary incontinence, endometriosis, pelvic pain, prolapse, and pre and postnatal changes. As an advocate of evidence-based treatment, she has conducted research in the field of occupational therapy and pelvic health and led in-service trainings on LGBTQIA+ inclusive healthcare.
Shaped by experts and pioneers in the pelvic health community, Elle has broadened her skillset through training in pelvic floor rehabilitation with Herman & Wallace Institute and Lindsey Vestal of the Functional Pelvis. These learning spaces have showcased the work that occupational and physical therapists are doing side-by-side to develop a strong multidisciplinary approach to pelvic wellness.
Utilizing a combined approach of manual therapy, awareness training, and lifestyle modification, Elle helps her clients return to their meaningful occupations, roles, and routines to reach their personal goals. She is skilled in supporting her clients as they navigate through the social and psychological impacts pelvic floor conditions can have on one’s day to day experience.
When she’s not in the clinic you’ll likely find her channeling her finest downward dog on the beach, or buried knee deep in art supplies. Most weekends she’s off in the mountains of Santa Barbara capturing an intimate wedding, elopement, or portrait session as an adventure lifestyle photographer.
